In Late 1979...
Brothers Craig and Mark Banning embarked on a joint venture to establish a restaurant together. After an extensive search, they settled on a closed-down location at the corner of 69th and Pacific Highway in Tigard. With their families by their side, they set about transforming the restaurant: clearing landscaping, remodeling the building, developing menus, decorating the interior, stocking inventory, and handpicking a dedicated team to serve their customers.
By the 1980s, responding to increasing customer demand, Mark made the bold decision to keep their restaurant open 24/7, becoming one of the few establishments in the area to do so. The only day they closed was Christmas Day. However, due to changes following the coronavirus pandemic Banning's made the tough decision to no longer operate around the clock. Today, they are open every day from 7am to 10 pm, with extended hours until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
